Nick Scroggins is a dedicated music educator and passionate performer with over ten years of experience teaching band at both the middle and high school levels in southern Indiana. Currently serving as the band director at New Albany High School, Mr. Scroggins has helped to shape the music program since 2021, building on a successful seven-year tenure at Parkview Middle School.
In addition to their teaching role, Mr. Scroggins is actively involved in the broader music education community, serving as the Area 8 Representative on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Music Education Association (IMEA). In this position, he works to support music educators, provide professional development, and advocate for the value of music education throughout the state.
As a performer, Mr. Scroggins has had the opportunity to perform in a wide array of ensembles across the United States and Europe. His diverse performance experience includes work with concert bands, philharmonic orchestras, chamber groups, and in musical theater settings, demonstrating a versatile approach to musicianship. Currently, he performs with the Commonwealth Brass Band in New Albany, Indiana, where he continues to contribute to the rich tradition of British brass band music.
